Plan to help at-risk Wilmington youth coming soon

An advisory group is expected this month to release a plan for how to put into practice the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's recommendations on curbing gun violence in Wilmington by targeting at-risk youth.

The report will provide a road map for how the city and state can connect city youth to vital services almost a year after the CDC completed a historic study examining gun violence as a public health problem in Wilmington.
