Meet Max: 2017 Speak Now for Kids Family Advocacy Day Hero

Max is a spirited young man who loves to act, golf, play baseball, and pal around with his brother, Els. He was born with tetralogy of fallot (TOF), a congenital heart defect that causes oxygen-poor blood to flow out of the heart and into the rest of the body. To help combat this, Max has a pacemaker and an artificial pulmonary valve. In January of 2017, he endured a month-long hospital stay to fight off endocarditis, which is life threatening blood infection. Thanks to the great team at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Max leads a full and vibrant life!

rsz_childrens_hospital_los_angeles_page_max.jpgBest known for portraying Mini Darth Vader from the 2011 VW Super Bowl commercial, Max’s first TV movie, Secret Summer begins airing soon. Max was also the Special Correspondent for Inside Edition at the World Premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. He spoke with most of the cast, but interviewing Harrison Ford was definitely the highlight! Max had the privilege of using his acting talent to help Speak Now For Kids in a video which highlights heart kids and their friends.

When he isn't acting or helping local charities, he is busy being a young man — adventurous and active!

Help us welcome Max back to Washington, D.C.!
