Meet Els: 2017 Speak Now for Kids Family Advocacy Day Hero

Els lived what seemed like a “normal life” for nine years. However, that all changed in June of 2015. He was diagnosed with advanced bone age disease and premature adrenarche. Both conditions are extremely rare and often misdiagnosed.

He radically changed his diet and checks in with CHLA every 4 months to monitor the progression of the disease. The treatment plan is working and Els is thriving with the proper medication.

Described as a kind hearted young man, Els loves guitar, animals, baseball and Disneyland. He hit his first home run in this year! He leads his school in worship music and shares his time with those in need. He is very grateful for the chance to lead a full and wonderful life!

Help us welcome Els to Washington, D.C.!
