Keeping students healthy and parents informed

Dorchester School District 2 is working with Trident Health Systems to keep students healthy, happy and where they belong – in the classroom.

A new “Spotlight on Family Health Series” will shed light on children’s health and give parents the opportunity to interact with doctors and learn more about what they can do for their children to keep them healthy at school. There are three sessions and anybody can attend one or all of them.

Christi Harley, school nurse at Spann Elementary, said this collaboration happened through a grant by the Johnson and Johnson School Health Leadership Program, called the Johnson and Johnson School Health Leadership Program Fellows.
