Help Medicaid Celebrate a Milestone
During the month of July, we will be celebrating Medicaid’s 50th birthday. Medicaid is a joint federal and state health insurance program created to serve as a safety net for America’s most vulnerable.
Medicaid is the single largest insurer for children. It currently provides comprehensive and affordable health care coverage to an estimated 33 million low-income children and children with disabilities.
Children’s hospitals from across the United States and other champions for children’s health are working together to keep Medicaid strong for kids now and in the future. For instance, the ACE Kids Act would help address the health care needs of children with complex medical conditions on Medicaid.
After you watch the above video, don’t forget to show your support by signing this petition asking Congress to keep Medicaid strong for kids.
