Fit Kids summer program addresses children’s health
NORWALK — Kaitlin Latham held up a large, chunky, orange blob.
“If you have too much sugar and you don’t exercise to burn off the calories, this is what it turns into. Do you want this on your body?” she asked about 25 students in front of her.
Not a single student hid their look of disgust. The blob was a model for what five pounds of fat looks like.
