Disabled children deserve answers on Medicaid cuts -- Kayla Wilke

Our 10-year-old daughter has significant disabilities. As is the case with so many other children with disabilities, private health insurance alone can't begin to cover all of her medical needs, we also rely on Medicaid through Wisconsin's Katie Beckett program and Children's Long-Term Services waiver.

Our family has concerns about what per capita caps or block grants in the current version of the American Health Care Act would do to funding for children and adults with disabilities. The potential impacts on the disability community and their families are being left out of many of the discussions about this health care bill.
